Guidance Statement on Personal Data Protection

We, as Martı Otomobil Kiralama Emlak Turizm Ve Organizasyon A.Ş, act as data controllers in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law numbered 6698 ("KVKK"). We would like to provide you with information on how we process and transfer your personal data.

1-    How Information is Collected

We may collect your personal data through your interaction with our websites, transactions you conduct with us, physical points of contact, your mobile device, or interactions with third parties within legal boundaries.

2-   Collected Information

The personal data we collect from you (including but not limited to your name, age, gender, contact information, place of residence, previous rental information, credit card information) is relevant to the processing purposes outlined in section 3 below.

3-   How Your Personal Data is Used

3.1 According to Article 5 of the KVKK, the legal reasons for processing your personal data are as follows:

·         Explicit consent provided by you.

·         Legal provisions explicitly stating the necessity of processing.

·         Necessary to protect the life or physical integrity of a person unable to give consent due to physical incapacity or lack of legal capacity, whether it be to protect their life, physical integrity, or the life or safety of another person.

·         Necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract.

·         Necessary to fulfill our legal obligations.

·         Publicly disclosed by the data subject.

·         Necessary for the establishment, exercise, or protection of a right.

·         Necessary for our legitimate interests, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms.

3.2 In accordance with the conditions specified in the KVKK, we may use the information we collect for the following purposes (with your explicit consent and/or as allowed by law):

-          Managing car rental operations and commercial relationships, communicating with you regarding car rentals, and assisting in these matters.

-          Conducting customer service activities and making phone calls related to customer satisfaction.

-          Verifying the driving and credit information you provided through credit agencies, licensing authorities, fraud prevention agencies/databases, and other sources for fraud prevention and verification purposes.

-          Contacting you regarding your lost subscription or online reservation.

-          Providing information about accidents you are involved in to relevant insurance databases. Personal data may be processed in this context when necessary for the investigation or defense of legal claims.

-          Communicating with you via email, SMS, phone, and other commercial communication channels using your contact information for purposes such as customer satisfaction surveys, discounts, special offers, and/or marketing, advertising, and celebrations.

-          Providing better products and services to you.

-          Analyzing statistics and insights on the use of our websites, products, and services by our customers.

-          Protecting our rights and assets.

-          Providing personalized and improved services to you.

-          Planning and implementing corporate sustainability activities.

-          Planning and implementing product or service marketing activities.

-          Planning and implementing activities to promote and increase customer loyalty.

-          Providing your personal data to government authorities responsible for traffic control to assist in enforcing traffic regulations during your rental period.

-          Providing your personal data to relevant tax authorities or authorized individuals for debt collection, credit agencies, and other relevant parties.

We may combine the information you provide with information related to your transactions with us, such as the location of your rental and the type of vehicle. Additionally, we may combine this information with information obtained from third parties that assist us in fulfilling your requests and safeguarding our data.

4-   Sharing and Purposes of Sharing Personal Information

·         With your explicit consent and/or as allowed by law, we may share your personal information with the following parties and for the purposes mentioned in section 3 above:

·         We may transfer your personal information to Martı Otomobil Kiralama Emlak Turizm Ve Organizasyon A.Ş and our business partners (including our representatives in Turkey) and suppliers and service providers (including IT service providers and other consultants) in Turkey or abroad. These companies may use your personal information for the purposes mentioned in section 3 and may transfer your personal information to third-party service providers within or outside Turkey.

·         In cases where it is required by law or permitted, to protect your rights and the rights of third parties, provide administrative or technical support, and execute your transactions outside of Turkey, we may share your information with business partners, service providers, government agencies, and/or individuals legally authorized to do so.

·         In the event of a transfer, change of ownership, or restructuring of Martı Otomobil Kiralama Emlak Turizm Ve Organizasyon A.Ş, your personal information may be transferred to another company.

·         If the recipient's location of your personal information is considered a country with inadequate legal protection, we assure you that we will provide the necessary levels of protection and/or obtain your explicit consent for the transfer if necessary.

5- Your Rights under the Personal Data Protection Law

According to the Personal Data Protection Law, you can request:

·         To know if your personal data is being processed.

·         If processed, request information about the processed data.

·         Know the purposes for which it is processed and whether it is used in a manner compatible with these purposes.

·         Know the third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred.

·         If incomplete or incorrect, request its correction.

·         Request the deletion or destruction of your personal data in accordance with Article 7 of the Personal Data Protection Law.

·         Notification to third parties to whom your personal data has been transferred, as stipulated in (h) and (i) above.

·         Object to the existence of negative consequences affecting you as a result of automatic processed.

·         If you believe you have been harmed due to unlawful processing, you can notify us. You can exercise your rights under the Personal Data Protection Law by submitting your request in writing to the following address:
